Cenote Nicte Ha is one of the lesser known cenotes in Mexico. It is beautiful, quiet, and located off-the-beaten path. But for those who dare to explore it, or for those seeking to avoid the crowd, you will be rewarded by the breathtaking beauty of this cenote.
CENOTE Nicte Ha
Cenote Nicte Ha is like a secret gem waiting to be discovered. You will find this cenote at the end of a bumpy dirt road, seemingly in the middle of nowhere (aka jungle). But you will be rewarded for braving that bumpy ride to get there as you will be greeted by a little pit of water that is as mysterious as it is beautiful.
This cenote is a favorite for many – those who decided to go off-the-beaten path. Unlike other cenotes, it never gets crowded. Unlike most cenotes in Mexico, this one is not underground. It is more like a lake with turquoise blue waters that are very clear. The cenote is also filled with lilies that float around creating for a beautiful view.
One more thing that makes the cenote very attractive is the lush jungle that surrounds it. It definitely adds to that sense of isolation. The rich vegetation all around it gives the cenote that secret garden vibe to it.
