How to Get From Delhi to Mussoorie

Mussoorie is a popular tourist attraction, so there are many established routes and methods for getting there from Delhi, or other parts of the country. In other words this guide is meant to show you the many way for the Delhi to Mussoorie traveler!

Delhi to Musoorie

By train

There are numerous trains connecting New Delhi with Dehradun, such as the Shatabdi Express, the Mussoorie Express, and the Nizamuddin AC Special. The latter two trains are overnight trains. The journey lasts approximately 5.5 hours. See trail times from Delhi to Mussoorie HERE.

By bus:

Being a popular tourist destination, there are plenty of bus routes in and out of Mussoorie. There are government run buses, as well as tour operators. The proximity to Dehradun makes Mussoorie all the more accessible. Get bus tickets HERE.

By air:

If you want to fly to Mussoorie you will have to the nearest airport, the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. From Delhi to Dehradun there are daily flights from airlines like Air India, Jet Airways, IndiGo, SpiceJet. From Dehradun there are tons of buses or taxis to take you the rest of the way. By car:

A road trip to Mussoorie offers some incredible scenery, and is worth it to drive instead to flying. You can do the drive in about 7.5 hours from Delhi, enjoying great views along the way. You can follow the map above, or take NH58 till Roorkee (via Meerut and Muzzafarnagar), and NH72-A to Dehradun. From there follow the state highway to Mussoorie.
