Incredible spice markets. Well, not only will you find mountains of incredible spices from the source, but tons of other ingredients required for the amazing Indian dishes.
Bright colors. This picture below isn’t spices like the ones above, its actually chalk. These colors are used for a lot of things, that subsequently brighten the city. From painting walls to decorating wandering cows, you’ll see pretty colors every where.
And lets not forget Holi Festival. Every year this festival of color brings in millions of tourists, and the whole country becomes a water and chalk fight. You can buy the dried chalk or the paste on every street, and join in on the festival. But beware, you are going to be covered in colors by the end of the day.
Cows. Speaking of cows, you are going to find these guys wandering the streets of Delhi, and every other city in India for that matter. They are considered holy, and treated as friends. On a side note, good luck finding a beef burger.
Street food. Your Delhi trip will not be complete until you try some street food. Either prepared meals, or just ingredients or fresh fruit and veg to make your own. You will find hawkers or vendors everywhere.
Religious monuments. Hindu, Islam, Buddhism, Jainism and more. You are going to see some incredible, and very old, monuments and buildings.
