Tablas Island, Philippines

The largest island in the Romblon Province, Tablas has a long and unique history, especially when it comes to trade. Its world-wide reputation originally stems from its excellent marble, but has since expanded to include the plethora of activities available to tourists to partake in, such as scuba diving, trekking, and the many tourist resorts that have made the island into a world-class retreat.

There is no quick everyday way to reach Tablas, because even though the island has an airport, the only flights coming in are from Manila and are twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. Other than that, the trip by boat lasts about 10 hours, and the boats arrive from Manila and Batangas.
